The Calgary Stetson Show Band was formed in 1988 as a marching show band for senior high school students. In their unique black and gold uniforms, the band proudly represents Calgary, Alberta and Canada with entertaining and innovative performances. The Stetson Band provides young people with the excitement and challenge of a marching music ensemble. As a senior band, the Calgary Stetson Show Band has excelled with their high standards of musicianship and performance developed in an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun. Their regular season includes participating in numerous parades and events within Calgary and the surrounding area. Travel and sightseeing are a major part of the band experience. The Stetson Show Band has had the opportunity to tour Canada, the United States, England, Europe and Japan. Destinations have included Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Disneyland, EuroDisney, Tokyo Disney, France, Holland, Germany, Italy, Malaysia and Switzerland.
